Geek Bar advertises that the Geek Bar Pulse delivers up to 15,000 puffs in the regular mode and up to 7,500 puffs in Pulse Mode. If you read what people say online about this device, though, you’ll quickly learn that your mileage can definitely vary. 

So, how long does a Geek Bar Pulse last in Pulse Mode? Will it really cut the number of hits that you get out of the device in half? In this article, we’ll answer your questions – but before we can do that, you need to understand what Pulse Mode is.

What Is Pulse Mode on a Geek Bar Pulse?

Geek Bar introduced the Pulse Mode feature with the Geek Bar Pulse. They’ve also included that feature in every new device that they’ve produced since then, so you’ll definitely want to know how Pulse Mode works if you’re going to use any recent Geek Bar vape.

Here’s what you need to know. A vaping device uses a heating wire called an atomizer coil – or just a coil – to heat the e-liquid in the device and turn it to vapor. Although a nicotine-free variant does exist, the standard version of the Geek Bar Pulse has a very high nicotine strength of 50 mg/ml, which means that it delivers nicotine just about as efficiently as a tobacco cigarette. The important thing to understand about disposable vapes and their advertised puff counts is that a disposable vape lasts up to the advertised number of puffs and isn’t guaranteed to give you exactly that many hits. Also, the puff count on the package is stated with the expectation that your average puff will only last about a half second.

Are you a vaper? Try timing your puffs. You’ll probably find that they last significantly longer than a half second. If your average puff length is three seconds, the Geek Bar Pulse’s expected lifespan of 15,000 puffs will be reduced to more like 2,500 puffs. That’s still a lot, but you should expect to use the device for days or potentially weeks – not months.

• A study published in 1984 concluded that the average smoker absorbs about 1 mg of nicotine in the process of smoking a cigarette. 
• Another study from 2022 concluded that the bioavailability of the nicotine in e-cigarette vapor is about 68 percent. 
• A Geek Bar Pulse contains 16 ml of e-liquid with a nicotine strength of 50 mg/ml. Therefore, the device contains 800 mg of nicotine in all.
• Given the lower bioavailability, you’ll need to consume about 1.5 mg of nicotine by vaping to equal one cigarette.
• By that logic, the Geek Bar Pulse equals about 533 cigarettes in all. That’s a huge number – about two and a half cartons!

How Can You Make the Geek Bar Pulse Last Longer?
